Where Do You Get Your Coupons?

"Where do you get your coupons?" This is a question that I am often asked as I am strolling in the grocery store or checking out. The great thing about 'today', is that coupons are EVERYWHERE!

1. Sunday paper: This is the most practical and common place to get your coupons; just remember that coupons are not in the Sunday paper if it is a holiday weekend! Don't hesitate to buy 2 Sunday papers if you feel like the coupons will benefit you; just make sure that before you buy the paper that the coupons have not been 'stolen' out of your paper. Make sure that you thumb through the 'Parade' insert because they sometimes have coupons in there also.

To get the most out of your Sunday coupons, if you have a 'couponing' friend, once you have each clipped what you want, swap coupon papers (not sure if I typed that clearly). If your friend does not have a baby and you do, then most likely any baby coupons will be left with the coupons that you swapped with her.

2. Products: At times there will be a sticker coupon on the actual product that you are buying. Make sure to watch out for this before you purchase the item. Unfortunately, often times, the cashier will not alert you of this, so pay close attention.

3. Facebook: Do you like a store or a certain brand? Visit their FB page and LIKE them. Often times they will have a special coupon for FB fans. For example, 'Nabisco Cookies' displays a coupon on their Wall the first of every month, but once the 1st is gone, you can no longer print the coupon. NOTE: When you print a coupon off of the internet, you are allowed to print 2 coupons per printer-- just hit the back button and a second coupon will print!

4. The Internet: There are a few websites that will give you a list of coupons made available for you to print. Here are ones that I can think of off the top of my head: www.cvs.com (at times will have manufacturer coupons and store coupons-- store coupons can only be used at that particular store unless another store accepts competitor coupons), www.target.com (located at the bottom of the screen), www.coupons.com (these are changed out monthly), www.redplum.com, www.cellfire.com (this is a website that allows you to load coupons onto your actual 'store rewards card'. At times they have a FREE $ coupon. This means when you log in you will automatically get up to a certain $ amount loaded onto your store card to spend on anything!). Take time to visit your favorite brands website, they may have coupons they are offering (Kraft and Proctor and Gamble are some examples). When in doubt, if you are looking for a particular coupon and you are not sure if it is available, visit my FAVORITE website http://thekrazycouponlady.com/. LOVE HER!!!! Once you are on her website, click 'Print Coupons' and she has a huge list of what coupons are available online. REMINDER: When you print a coupon off of the internet, you are allowed to print 2 coupons per printer-- just hit the back button and a second coupon will print!

5. Coupon Clippers: I do not this personally, but if it works for you then go for it. There are some websites that offer coupon clipping. Basically they have a list of coupons that are available to you for purchase from them. You select what you want, purchase, and they mail to you. I do not have any website available since I do not practice this method, but if you are interested you should google for them. Tell me how it works if you use them.

6. FREE SAMPLES: If your local grocery store, wholesale store, Target, Walmart is giving out samples of a product, more than likely.... there is a coupon that comes with that sample! In addition, there are product websites that offer samples (throughout the year) as well. These normally come with coupons also. In addition, once you request a sample, the company has your mailing address and at times will mail you special offers which may include additional coupons. Yipee!

These are the main ways that I get my coupons. If I realize I missed anything I will add later ;-)
